The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when were on autopilot for so long that we forget were on autopilot. Because when we get so engrossed in an activity we dont even realize were doing it, then it takes over our life, and it controls us. Whereas a person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition and say, “Hmm… every time my sister calls me and asks for money, I end up drinking a lot of vodkas.
Self-awareness is all about recognizing when we’re on autopilot. If we can be aware of our habits and routines, we can be aware of how they influence our lives. But a lot of our habits and routines are automatic. They come to us from things outside of our control. So when we can stop, even for a second, to really consider our behaviors and to make some decisions, we can make better choices.
That was my main takeaway from the trailer. We get to think about ourselves. We get to think about how our lives are structured and we can make some decisions. That’s the self-awareness that is required to be a successful person. However, if you aren’t aware of your habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then you can be sure that you are going to make mistakes.
My main takeaway, also, is that we are all so used to our lives being on autopilot that we forget we are on autopilot. But then again, I also think that we are so used to our lives being on autopilot that we forget we are not really on autopilot.
In the latest trailer we see an image of a photon with a frequency which is one of the following. The photon, which is what we call a photon, is a fundamental particle of nature.
