Duke Energy has a new plan to power our homes more efficiently. They will be using less energy and improving our energy situation as we speak.
It’s a great plan, but the new Duke plan may be a little too late for us. That’s because the new Duke plan is actually in the works now (it was supposed to be rolled out this summer). In other words, the Duke plan is a little bit of a work in progress. It’s not like Duke Energy announced it to the wider world just a few weeks ago.
Duke Energy’s new plan, while great, may be more of a ‘work in progress’ than a ‘plan’ as they point out in the video. They still expect to be delivering the new Duke plan by the end of the year. That means we’ll have to wait another year before we see it. Not a good situation, really.
Duke Energy is supposed to be in the works, and it’s no wonder. Our main source of income will be in the form of sales and distribution, and we don’t want Duke Energy to be doing that any more. It’s possible to get Duke Energy to do something interesting, like a few other companies in the industry, but we’re not going to do it. We just have to stick with the Duke plan.
